Tamala Pearley

Tamala Pearley - Social Science Student and Human Resources Expert

Tamala Pearley is a scholar and lifelong learner who is a currently a student at the University of Washington. Her coursework and research examine the structural forces that shape access, equity, and opportunity. Tamala Pearley’s academic experience includes developing a digital academic portfolio showcasing interdisciplinary research and applied learning. In her presentations and exhibits on historical and contemporary social justice issues, she examines how institutions evolve and how social change can influence policy and organizational practices.

During her time at the University of Washington, Ms. Pearley has also taken on a role as a peer leader in the integrated social sciences program. In this role, she mentors and supports incoming online students and facilitates student engagement and resource navigation for the learners. She helps them stay connected to their academic community and access the support they need to succeed. Me. Pearley also collaborates with faculty and fellow students to improve communication and program visibility.

Alongside her undergraduate studies, Tamala Pearley continues to expand her knowledge through professional education in human resources. She will earn a Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) in May 2026. She will begin pursuing her Masters from the University of Washington in Communication Leadership in 2026.

Tamala Pearley has more than 10 years of experience in human resources. She has led workplace investigations, supported HR compliance processes, and contributed to initiatives that strengthen organizational culture and employee engagement. She has also developed HR policies and documentation to support effective organizational operations.
